I might be a bit late here, but I found this really interesting for the CF community. It’s the Smith Project
From the website:
Smith is a freeware, cross-platform ColdFusion engine, written entirely in Java. Running on the top of Java Runtime Environment and Java Servlet Container, it can be virtually deployed on any operating system and work with any web server. Smith represents lightweight, yet reliable alternative to the existing ColdFusion servers

Anybody actually using this server? If so, can you post your review here?

The Smith Project website seems to be not working…
Humm that’s right.. I’ve just done a search, and they don’t seem to be active. I’d look at railo if I were you though. They’ve got a great community, and a very stable product. A search here would bring you up some articles about it.
Hope it helps you!
It’s okay Marcos, I’ve tried a lot and seems to be that they are not showing up. I’ve tried Railo and they are great; except for some unsupported CF tags (such as cfreport – which I usually used for reportorial). You’re right, they have a great community and you just need to search over on various threads and find the results you want.
Thanks a lot Marcos!
Awesome! Let me know how you get on with it, and drop me a line if you get stuck with anything.
Cheers
It’s time to get railo! Oh wait, that is the site name…
