A few new year's resolutions

Well, I've never publicly done this before, as I though it was a little too personal, but this year I decided to try it. I've seen many people doing it, and thought it'd be fun to check on the resolution list at the end of the next year, and see what I've accomplished. I'll post my resolutions as they come to my mind, and don't really wanna have any priority to the order. I reckon resolutions should simply happen.

Start a new university
Get my driver's license sorted out, so I can stop using my Belgian one
Visit my parents in Brazil
Learn a new programming language just for the sake of it
subscribe to the gym again
buy a new car
stop wasting money with rent, and actually buy a house
stop eating junk food, and have a more healthy life
take more pictures of my life
be a bit more organizwed with my time
start speaking to my local user group
blog more
write more technical articles
publish the book I've been planing to for a few years
update my ColdFusion certification
start contributing with an open-source project

Well, I can't remember anything other than that right now, but I'll keep updating the list. Also, I decided I'll start posting links to bargains here as I find them. After all... Hey! Everybody loves a bargain, and this time of the year really leads you to this kind of stuff. Here's the first: I have to assume I watch friends every day or so, and still laugh a lot with some of the jokes. I've never really thought of buying the box with all the episodes, but after seeing this price, I had no option but buying it. The wife also loves it, so I guess it's a gift for the two of us.

Talking about gifts, I'd like to wish you all a very happy new year, and hope all of you can accomplish all your dreams on the year coming. With my best wishes to you all, Marcos Placona

New ColdFusion Jobs Section

I've just realized today that there's a new tool for recruiters to post ColdFusion jobs available in the market. I was really thinking about creating a whole new section on my blog with job postings, but there's no reason to re-invent the wheel when it's already there and works so well. So if you look at the third box on the right side of this blog, you will see this nice widget under the "Jobs" section. Basically it lists all the jobs posted for ColdFusion, and can be filtered by location. Up to now, there's only jobs in America, but I reckon we can change that and start posting European jobs as well. You only need to Folow this link to post a new position, or click on the Post a Job link located on the bottom of the widget. I personally think this kind of tool comes really handy when you are recruiting, as it will mainly be located in ColdFusion websites, and will be seen 100% by ColdFusion developers visiting this website. Kudos for the developercircuit.com guys
