Adobe AIR 1.5.1 released

I know I'm a bit late on this one, but yesterday Adobe released AIR 1.5.1 with a few bug fixes and one "minor-albeit useful-new feature." as they say.

Check-out Adobe's Blog

And download Adobe AIR 1.5.1 here

Mango Blog 1.3 / 1.3.1 update

Yesterday, the guys over at Mango Blog (engine running this blog) released an update to it, and a few hours later another one (1.3.1). I still don't have all the information about what changes, but I'll be updating this post as soon as I get the information.

If you are running Mango Blog on a version above 1.2.2., you should be able to login into your administrator, and click update, so you can have it updated automatically.

For those running versions bellow 1.2.2, you have to wait until the updater is available on Mango's website, as running the installer again will overwrite all your files and changes, and is not necessary.

Just as a follow up to my last post, I just wanted to put this quick note here to tell everybody that all the venues for Scotch on the Rocks Road 2009 have been confirmed. You can also download your Speaker, Attendee, Drinker or Fanboy badges here, and put them on your website, so it looks as cool as mine does.

Let the scotch come!

Things you may not know about jQuery

I just came across this very interesting list of things you can do with jQuery.

I specially loved the last one, which is not really related to jQuery, but can be really helpful. I'll leave the link here for future reference.

Looks like once again we're gonna have another premier ColdFusion conference in the UK. Very famous for it's great speakers and topics in the past few years Scotch on The Rocks is now Scotch on the Road. Meaning that instead of going to Edinburgh for the conference, the conference now comes to you. Up to now, they've confirmed London, Manchester and of course Edinburgh.

From one of the conference's organizer:

While staying fairly quite since before Christmas things have been moving quite fast at SotR HQ, and we are proud to announce our lovely new website; which will be the home of all the information you need for each of our events.

In addition, tickets are on sale NOW and as previously indicated the pricing is:

  • GBP 49 VAT - 1 Event
  • GBP 89 VAT - 2 Events
  • GBP 129 VAT - 3 Events

We will also have a group discount of 5 for the price of 4.

Not only have we got a new website and tickets being on sale, we have details of our first set of speakers that we have lined up for the our little Road Trip of the UK.

  • Andy Allan
  • Peter Bell
  • Sean Corfield
  • Mark Drew
  • Serge Jespers

And as a reminder the dates and venues are:

  • Monday June 1st: London, The Sway Bar
